Art has a way of unearthing the most raw and uncomfortable emotions within me. When they seep through, it sparks an intense, silent struggle between me and the canvas. The battle continues until we reach some uneasy truce - an acknowledgment that we’ve seen each other clearly.
Art also has the unique power to comfort me during times of need when nothing else can and has a calming meditative quality. It is my biggest tool for connecting between inner and outer worlds.
I can paint what I cannot express in words.
